At Home in spirit, in a place, through the Mists, beyond the Beyonds, in the far reaches of the Universe, nearer to the Great Mind, Serventa was preparing for new challenges. She had been resting for a time to recharge and replenish her energies before returning to the Earth. On the Plane of the Ancients, she gathered with a small number of highly evolved ancients, Ashento, sitting around a small pool of water edged in white marble, a percimun. It seemed to be water, edged with marble, but perhaps it was not precisely so. The peace was so perfect it energised any spirit with a timeless contentment. Everything was pure, enabling complete and utter clarity of thought. There was nothing to impede the mind. Everything existed in a state of eternal bliss. These six spirits sat together in Conclave, mind-melding, awaiting a seventh spirit to appear.
In contrast, the Earth, being a physical dimension, was heavy, noisy, brash, abrasive, crude, but ready to improve. The World yearned for peace and evolvement. It was depleted of spiritual values and hungered for treasures of the mind. In conclave with these highly evolved Ashento , Serventa needed to discuss the evolution of this new civilisation on Earth.
"This is to be the Fifth Civilisation," said the Voice.
The Voice directed his mind toward the pool of water and it became alive with images from the future, like a video screen. As a humanoid mind directs the brain, the computerised memory bank of the body, their minds connected with the percimun, activated by their thoughts. It portrayed many events of the future that were expected to happen and gave a clear illustration of the pages of history to come, some good, mostly bad. As it projected images, the feelings, fears, and horrific experiences were also felt in the minds of the spectators. It was a full experience, and only very old spirits with strong enough minds could endure the projected events. However, not everything was determined to happen because the people of the Earth still had a Freedom of Choice in many major situations.
